BOOM LIBRARY – SCI-FI ELEMENTS – NEON

NEON was built to deliver yet unheard creative sound design and sonic quality. Each sound has been hand-crafted and had to pass the very critical ears of every involved sound designer. This process took us longer than usual, but the result speaks for itself. The recording part for NEON was very challenging. A big part was obviously to get stuck into all kinds of synthesis and create source material for our sound creation later on. We used both hardware and software synths and spent a lot of time on our ever-growing modular synth to create cutting edge sounds. We also spent a lot of time recording organic material like metal scrapes, drum impacts, make-shift instruments etc. to be able to put that through a synthesis and processing chain again. In that way we struck a very good balance between organic and synthetic material.
